Behavioral Analysis in Behavioral Medicine
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign That the application of behavioral procedures to the treatment and prevention of physical illness has proliferated cannot be disputed. A number of factors have contributed to this growth. This article examines the application of behavior analytic methods as a major contributing factor. Following a discussion of ethical and practical considerations that support the behavior analytic approach to behavioral medicine, this article details two case studies that emphasize a "functional analysis."
